Our history
It all began in 1949 at 8 Avenue de Frontenex with the founding of the Laiterie du Jura. André Bignens left Vaulion, never imagining that his name would one day become a symbol of excellence and expertise far beyond Geneva.
After Normandy and the Laiteries Réunies de Genève, André opened his food shop selling cheese, wine, spirits and coffee. In November 1965, his son Maurice took over. A tireless visionary entrepreneur, he turned the small shop into a benchmark. In 1978, the company changed its name while remaining true to passion and quality.

In July 1995, Heinz and Liliane Liechti took over Bignens Vins and gave it new momentum through innovation and creation, guided by two enduring principles: quality rooted in tradition and respect for work well done.
Today, Bignens Vins SA operates stores in Balexert, Chêne-Bourg, Plan-les-Ouates, Carouge and Eaux-Vives, and also offers fine foods, home delivery, office solutions and gift parcels.
